The Rubik’s Cube is a mechanical puzzle invented in 1974 by Hungarian sculptor and architecture teacher Ernő Rubik. The puzzle is a 3x3x3 plastic cube with 54 visible colored stickers. The faces of a large cube are capable of rotating around the 3 internal axes of the cube. The name Rubik’s Cube is accepted in most languages of the world, with the exception of German and Chinese, where its original name Magic Cube remains common.
