Canada Day is the national holiday of Canada. The holiday is celebrated on the first of July in honor of the signing on the first of July 1867 of an act that united all the provinces in Canada into a single state of Canada. The holiday is celebrated throughout the country, parades, masquerades, festivals, general and home barbecues, as well as fireworks and music festivals are organized. Officially, this day is a day off in the country.
